The Toronto Blue Jays have defeated the Baltimore Orioles today in a spring training game with a final score of 14-2 in Dunedin, Fla. The Blue Jays pitching staff only allowed five hits and only gave up two runs in the game. Not only that, but the Blue Jays also had six home runs in the game. The Blue Jays home runs came from Andy Burns, Bo Bichette, Danny Jansen, Santiago Espinal, and two from Randal Grichuk.
The Baltimore Orioles home runs came from Stevie Wilkerson and Mason Williams. Blue Jays pitcher Chase Anderson got the win today and Orioles pitcher Tom Eshelman got the loss.
One of the interesting things about today’s game is that one of the Blue Jays star players in Vladimir Guerrero Jr., son of MLB Hall of Famer, Vladimir Guerrero did not play at all today. This most likely because he needed a day of rest since this is an American League East match up. Guerrero Jr. made it to the finals of the 2019 Home Run Derby and lost to the 2019 National League Rookie of the Year, Pete Alonso of the New York Mets.
The Blue Jays have a lot of young talent and look to continue winning games into the regular season.
