Tonight the Los Angeles Kings will be facing off against the Florida Panthers, all eyes once again are pointing towards L.A. as rookie forward Gabriel Vilardi has been called up from the Ontario Reign.

This comes after forward Jeff Carter came down with a lower-body injury Tuesday against the Winnipeg Jets. Vilardi has been a name many Kings fans have been muttering to themselves ever since he was drafted 11th overall by the Kings in 2017.

Vilardi has 25 points (9 G – 16 A) in 32 games this season with the Ontario Reign. This comes after Vilardi suffered a season-ending injury early last season.

Vilardi is slated to start on the second line with Adrian Kempe and Martin Frk beside him. Many will be examining his performance tonight for Los Angeles.
