The 2021 recruiting class for Oregon was already off to a good start, and that start has gotten even better with a commitment from four-star guard Josh Simmons. Simmons is a top-ten guard nationally by 247 Sports and is the number 11 guard in the 247 Sports composite.

As mentioned, the 2021 class is off to a great start. Simmons becomes the sixth commitment in this class, and the second offensive lineman in the class, joining Jackson Light.
Simmons is the fifth four-star prospect to commit in the class and this makes for five commitments inside of the 247 Sports composite top-265.
Following this commitment, Oregon now has the sixth-ranked class in the 2021 class and they have the number one class inside the Pac-12.
The 2021 class has the look of being a special one. Of course, things are early, but coach Cristobal and his staff have done a great job on this class already and we are still in January.
This also continues the pipeline of offensive lineman that Mario Cristobal and Alex Mirabal are building to Oregon. It appears that the offensive line pipeline is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
This is also a strong pickup from a highly-ranked prospect on the west coast, and locking down the west coast is going to be a top priority every recruiting cycle.
Not enough can be said about this staff and their prowess on the recruiting trail. Keep a close eye out for this 2021 class, because it’s looking like it’s going to be a special one.
