Jackson Light Commits to Oregon

Oregon has picked up its third commitment in the 2021 class in three-star center Jackson Light. Light joins athlete Anthony Beavers Jr. and elite all-purpose running back Seven McGee. Light is the second commitment Oregon has picked up this weekend. The other was top junior college safety Bennett Williams in the 2020 class.

Jackson Light Pledges to Oregon

While Light is only a three-star prospect, he is one of the top players in his class at his position. Center is just one of those positions that don’t garner a lot of stars. However, Light is the sixth-ranked center in the 2021 class, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Getting one of the top players at their position is huge. All three of Oregon’s 2021 commitments is one of the top players at their position.

Also, if Mario Cristobal and Alex Mirabal are zoned in on an offensive lineman, chances are they know he’s good and they can develop him

With the offensive line talent already in the program and the talent committed in the 2020 class, the offensive line depth at Oregon is only going to get more impressive.

Oregon is also slowly building a pipeline in the state of Utah. Penei Sewell is of course from Utah and Oregon is right in the thick of it for his brother, five-star linebacker Noah Sewell. Now, they are adding another top talent at their position from Utah.
