The Jacksonville Jaguars need receiver help for their new quarterback Nick Foles and after working out Terrelle Pryor, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network is reporting that the team is going to sign the veteran receiver.
The terms of the deal have yet to be reported on, but for a team that needs receiver help I love this move because there’s absolutely no risk for the Jaguars, only possible rewards.
Pryor has really struggled to stay healthy the past few seasons, but the former quarterback now receiver showed a lot of promise in 2016 for the Browns when he had 77 catches for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns, but since that season the most he has been able to put up is 252 yards, which was last season between playing for the Jets and Bills.
Pryor is going to be 30-years old when the season starts, but I still think Pryor has something left in the tank. He has the ideal build for an NFL receiver and if he can just stay healthy this season after only playing in 17 games over the past two seasons, this has the chance to be one of the better under-the-radar moves of the offseason.
Jacksonville was looking at having starting receivers of Dede Westbrook and Marqise Lee, but now adding Pryor to the fold gives them another option for new quarterback Nick Foles for what I would assume is a fairly low price.
