Last season Adrian Peterson saw a resurgence in his career in Washington and now he will have a chance to back that up on the same team, as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network is reporting that the team is bringing him back on a two-year deal worth $8 million.
This is a pretty minor deal as the Redskins aren’t likely going to be contenders this season and Peterson is on the later part of his career, but despite being 33-years old, Peterson did have a very nice season last year in Washington.
I still believe that Peterson is someone who could be dealt to a contender if he shows that he can duplicate this season what he did last season, but we will obviously have to wait and see on that one.
Overall though, this is a pretty minor deal.
