Alabama has picked up a commitment from three-star cornerback out of Jacksonville, Florida, Jahquez Robinson.
Alabama is already building what could very easily be another number one class in the 2020 class, but that doesn’t mean that Nick Saban and his staff aren’t going to look for players that could be sleepers and that appears to be the category that Robinson falls into.
Yes, he’s only listed as a three-star prospect, but judging by the teams that are after him and even more by the fact that Alabama likes him enough to give him a legit offer and accept his commitment should tell you all you need to know about Robinson’s ability to be a sleeper. It wouldn’t be shocking in the least to see him end up as a four-star prospect by the time this recruiting cycle is over.
Watching Robinson’s film, it’s easy to see why Alabama and Nick Saban would like him. He is a very long cornerback, standing at 6’2″ and on top of that he plays with a lot of effort, plays really physical and he has really fluid hips that he uses to play the ball in the air very well.
Watch for Jahquez Robinson to rise as the 2020 class continues to progress.
