Texas has picked up their second four-star commitment of the weekend. Yesterday they got a pledge from four-star athlete Mookie Cooper and today they picked up a commitment from four-star offensive tackle Jaylen Garth.
Garth has an impressive list of teams that are after him and when you turn on the film it’s easy to see why. He plays really physical and like someone who loves to blow people off the ball and pancake defenders, which should fit in perfectly to a Texas offense that’s built around running the ball.
The four-star tackle out of Port Neches, Texas also has some room to put weight on and once he does that he should really become a next level run blocker because he’s already shown the ability to do it at less than 300 pounds. His slimmer frame for a tackle also helps with agility and with his ability to get into the second-level and throw blocks on linebackers to spring longer runs.
Garth seems to be a perfect fit for Tom Herman’s offense in Austin.
