LSU has went into California and gotten a commitment from three-star defensive tackle Jordan Berry.
Berry is out of Narbonne High School in Harbor City, California and adds to what is already shaping up to be an elite class from LSU. The Tigers currently have eight four-star prospects committed and one five-star prospect.
Berry fits the prototypical size for a defensive tackle at LSU, coming in at 6’2″, 323 pounds and even with him being a three-star he has a very impressive list of offers and is right on the cusp of being bumped up to a four-star, which is something that could easily happen once the recruiting process is over with.
Going into California and getting a prospect the caliber of Berry’s is huge for LSU, because it shows they’re willing to recruit nationally. Everyone knows they are in a talent hotbed, but being willing to go across the country to get a prospect who has the makings of being a sleeper shows that Ed Orgeron and his staff aren’t going to leave any stone unturned in their quest to get back on top of the SEC.
