Tennessee just finished off a very good first recruiting cycle under Jeremy Pruitt, finishing 12th nationally and today they picked up their second four-star commitment of the 2020 class, securing a pledge from four-star defensive lineman Dominic Bailey out of Baltimore.
Tennessee appears to be building a very strong defense in Knoxville under Jeremy Pruitt, who of course has a background on defense and Bailey should help that process as he is a player that has a very quick first step off the ball and he really has a nose for the ball, attacking the ball when he is making a tackle, which leads to him forcing a good amount of fumbles.
Bailey has also shown the ability to play on the inside and the outside. He’s a little bit on the smaller side as of now when he plays on the inside, but he makes up for what could be a small lack of size, with great explosiveness, much like Aaron Donald. Obviously I’m not comparing him to Donald because you don’t want to put that kind of pressure on someone who isn’t even in college yet, but they are just similar in being a little bit undersized but being quick off the ball to be able to get in the backfield and create really negative plays for offenses.
Bailey joins four-star quarterback Harrison Bailey out of Georgia as the key pieces of the early 2020 recruiting class for Tennessee.
