Louisville has picked up a commitment from three-star safety Ronald Delancy III out of Northwestern High School in Miami.
This is a nice pickup for Louisville and Scott Satterfield because they had the lowest-ranked recruiting class among power-five schools this past recruiting cycle. That, paired with dealing with a coaching change can make for some rocky times for a usually pretty solid program, but this is a good start to what will likely be a bounce back year in recruiting.
Delancy is a play-maker. He’s the type of player that you love to have at the back end of your secondary because he’s capable at any time of making a game-changing play. Also, Miami is a hotbed for recruiting and anytime you can get a recruit out of that area it should excite the fan base because even the three-star recruits out of that area tend to be underrated.
This is the first commit of the 2020 class for Louisville and it’ll be interesting to watch how they bounce back this season.
