Dan Mullen has been killing it on the recruiting trail since taking over at Florida, with his first full class coming it at number nine nationally and then with the Gators 2020 class already off to a fast start, currently sitting at fourth nationally with five four-star recruits committed and then five-star wide receiver Leonard Manuel committed.
Today they added three-star defensive end Morven Joseph out of Parkland, Florida. Joseph comes in as the 18th ranked defensive end in the country as of right now, but despite him being a three-star, he’s clearly a guy that schools think can really develop as he already has a pretty impressive offer list that includes Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, Texas A&M and more.
Joseph is very athletic and covers a lot of ground with his 6’3″ frame, but he is someone that will need to add some weight before he enters college and then during his college career. The good thing about his build at the moment though is that he’s a very versatile defender and is someone who can put his hand on the ground and use his athleticism to disrupt offenses and get into the backfield and then he’s someone who can stand up on the end of the line and use his speed to rush the passer but then can also use his speed to get out to the edges and stop plays such as screens or outside runs.
He has the makings of someone who can be a very useful defender in the Florida defense and is someone that could potentially add a fourth-star during the recruiting process.
