Four-star inside linebacker Maninoa Tufono commits to USC
The Hawaiian linebacker has very good size, listed at 6’3″ 225 LBS and is very instinctive and what he really does a great job of is avoiding contact with blockers. He should be a very welcome addition to the USC defense.
Four-star wide receiver Dylan Wright commits to Texas A&M
Dylan Wright has a big 6’4″ frame and should come in to Jimbo Fisher’s offense and be a really good redzone threat. He’s shown a very good ability to get up and win jump balls.
2020 four-star wide receiver Koy Moore commits to USC
Another recruiting victory for USC this week and this time they went into Louisiana to do it. Moore looks to be a promising slot receiver that has the ability to make things happen after the catch, but he’s also able to stretch a defense right down the seams. He has very good athleticism and has shown an ability to get the ball out of the backfield as well and make things happen. Very versatile player.
Four-star JUCO offensive tackle Anthony Whigan commits to Penn State
James Franklin makes another good addition to his offense, this time in the form of offensive lineman Anthony Whigan, who is one of the top-ranked JUCO players in the country. Whigan has shown the ability to play both left and right tackle, but most of his film is him playing right tackle. He is a very agile lineman that is also pretty physical in run blocking.
Four-star guard Darrian Dalcourt commits to Alabama
Dalcourt will certainly need to add weight to play on the interior of the line in the SEC, but he has the physical mindset to play on the interior. He’s very instinctive in run blocking and is really good at getting to the second level of the defense and throwing the blocks that he needs to, to help spring big plays.
Four-star offensive tackle Jonah Tauanu’u commits to Oregon
Tauanu’u is listed at 317 LBS, but he is very athletic. He’s very physical in run blocking, which would indicate that he could translate well to being a right tackle in college, but he has the frame to be a good left tackle if he can become a finished product and fine tune his pass blocking technique.
Four-star small forward Aundre Hyatt commits to LSU
Hyatt is a 6’7″ forward that has very good range. He also uses his frame to be able to score over the top of smaller defenders in the paint. His bigger frame combined with his shooting ability makes him a tough match-up.
Four-star power forward Daniel Ramsey commits to Xavier
A big pick-up for Xavier here. Ramsey can do it all. He’s a bouncy athlete that can block shots. He has the ability to grab a rebound and take the ball himself to start the fastbreak and he has shown the ability to step out and shoot, making him a pretty complete player.
Five-star small forward Kahlil Whitney commits to Kentucky
Whitney is a long athlete that has shown an ability to step out and knock down threes. He needs to speed up his shot release, but he at least has an outside shot. He should be a dynamic wing at Kentucky.
Four-star power forward Jaiden Delaire commits to Stanford
Delaire will be part of this years class and is a very good get for Jerod Haase and his staff. He is getting the scholarship spot vacated by Reid Travis, who transferred to Kentucky earlier this off season. Delaire is a very skilled forward that should fit in very well to the Stanford system.
Four-star point guard Kira Lewis commits to Alabama
Another recruit that will be a freshman this season and it’s yet another big-time recruit for Avery Johnson. Lewis could afford to put some weight on, but he’s shown to be a pretty versatile player.
Four-star shooting guard Jaykwon Walton commits to Mississippi State
Ben Howland has been able to recruit since being at Mississippi State, but it hasn’t translated to a ton of wins so far. Bulldog fans are hoping Jaykwon Walton can change that. Walton can really do it all, especially win it comes to scoring the ball. He’s a bigger guard at 6’6″ and he can shoot, put the ball on the ground and get to the mid-range and score over people. He’s an exciting prospect for Mississippi State fans to watch.
Four-star small forward Terrence Shannon commits to DePaul
Huge in-state recruiting victory here for DePaul head coach Dave Leitao and his staff. Shannon is a highly-skilled lefty that is able to use a number of moves to get to the basket and score. He also runs the floor very well and knows where to position himself to make things easier for his teammates.
